Tonya Parker Receives 2010 DAYL Outstanding Mentor Award

On May 7, 2010, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers presented to Tonya Parker the Outstanding Mentor Award in recognition of her contributions and commitment to mentoring young lawyers in Dallas.

The DAYL annual award recognizes lawyers who have consistently demonstrated and exemplified professional service, courtesies and commitment toward mentoring young lawyers in the legal community. Tonya was selected as the Outstanding Mentor because of her selfless contributions made to the profession, to members of the profession, to the community and because of her outstanding qualities as a lawyer.

Tonya is a partner with Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail, LLP where her focus is commercial litigation. She has over ten years experience as lead attorney in all aspects of litigation. Her representative experience includes representing corporations in the prosecution and defense of federal and state court matters involving contract disputes, business torts, and claims related to intellectual property rights. Her extensive courtroom experience also includes bench and jury trials in state and federal courts representing individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 1000 corporations, as plaintiffs and defendants, in a variety of litigation matters, including tort and business litigation. She has also served as a court-appointed guardian ad litem in federal and state court tort litigation matters involving minors and incapacitated adults.
